Since the human foot has to support the weight of the body, walk many thousands of miles in one’s lifetime, it is no wonder that many people suffer an endless variety of foot related problems. No part of the human body receives the physical punishment the feet are required to take on a daily basis.

At Penarth Podiatry you will recieve a warm, friendly service together with professional treatment in a clean, modern environment, where your treatment needs will be catered for by a HPC registered Podiatrist with the highest standards of care.

I provide Podiatry treatment for people from all walks of life, from simple nail cutting for the general public, to the treatment of Professional Athletes, including members of the Welsh Football Team.

What is the difference between a Podiatrist and Chiropodist?

The titles ‘Podiatrist’ and ‘Chiropodist’ are interchangeable. although the term Podiatrist is increasingly being used within the Medical Profession. A Podiatrist is a Health Care Professional who is qualified to diagnose and treat a wide range of foot complaints.

A three year degree course in Podiatric medicine is undertaken to attain a BSc in Podiatry. Podiatrists are required to be registered with the Health Professional Council (HPC) and also be a member of The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.
